Troubleshooting Oven Temperature in 2019 Jayco North Point

Updated 09/21/2020 | Published 04/02/2019

Question:

I have a new oven in a 2019 Jayco North Point. I turn to knob to 350 and the oven will not heat to 350. I purchased an oven thermostat, it reads 350 with the knob is on 400 and the heat temp will not stabilize within an hour of cooking. Is the knob functioning correctly ?? Please help me to understand the thermostat knob and why 350 is not 350.

The Furrion RV Wall Oven with LED Knobs - Gas - Stainless Steel # FSRD22LASS should absolutely function at the correct temperature. It sounds like your oven has a bad thermostat versus a bad knob since you mentioned the temp won't stabilize when you are using a thermometer like # A10-3200VP. If it were just a bad reading on the knob it would still stabilize. I recommend going to the dealer you bought from as that should be covered under your warranty on your new 5th wheel trailer.

They should test the regulator as well to ensure you are getting a constant propane flow as that could alternatively be the issue.

So the digital display on the Furrion Oven is completely blank, or is it just not showing the correct temperature that you've set using the control knob?

@ChrisR My oven has this problem also. Only the digital timer shows up on the LED display, not the temperature. How do I know when the temperature has been reached?

@KathleenK I reached out to my contact at Furrion and she said that this unit is no longer built to display the temperature - just the timer. She said that once the desired temperature has been reached you will hear a chime.
