Each one of the steps of the TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps # TLA8003 that you referenced is 8 inches deep and there are three of the steps so it would stick out a total of 24 inches give or take a few inches. The reason I say "give or take a few inches" is because this is a scissor step which means that the higher the vertical distance the steps come down the further out they will go as they extend.
