Urethane Dampener Replacement for Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8440024

Question:

I read on your website in one of the ask the experts questions that said the replacement dampener for the Demco model 8550024 sliding hitch is 15769. I also see this in my Demco hitch operator manual. However, I could not find that particular item on your website. But, I did find 15469 and it says that it can be used for model 8550024. I went ahead and ordered the 15469 along with a couple of other items. I am just having second thoughts... or second guessing myself and what I read... So, just asking the experts to confirm that I can use the 15469 urethane dampener that I ordered from etrailer.com for our new 8550024 hitch. Unfortunately, when we had the hitch installed at our local ford dealer the apparently lost the dampener as well as the handle assembly.... grrrrr Thanks in advance.

You ordered the correct urethane dampener for your Demco Hijacker AutoSlide part # DM8550024. The 15769 and the 15469 basically represent the same part number now so the # DM15469 that you ordered will fit and work well!
