Question:

I have a 2016 Coachmen Leprechaun 317SA. It doesnt come with a step, but I want to add one. How can this be accomplished?

I spoke with Lippert about the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Frame 28 Series Step part # LC3747457 and unfortunately, they do not provide any mounting information as this is done through the trailer manufacturer. They did however state that you should not have too many issues so long as the surface in which the steps attach to is sturdy.

Please note that the above part is for the frame only, if you need the motor/control board etc. then you would want to use the Lippert Kwikee 38 Series Electric Step part # LC3723383 instead which comes with all of the guts you will need to operate them. If you need help with the wiring side of things then you can refer to the attached photo which displays the different processes depending on how they are installed.

If you just want to add a manual step then I recommend the Lippert Manual Pull-Out Step part # LC432678 with the Lippert Outriggers for Manual RV Steps part # LC301704.
