Question:
I’m not exactly sure which Ride Rite kit I have on my 06 Cummins 4WD, but I’m interested in expanding the setup with a pump, tank, and controller. I’ve been using a portable pump at home, but using it while traveling is too much hassle plus I left it at home. Is there a kit I could upgrade with? If a kit doesn’t come with a pump, could I one in the system later?

You likely have the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2299 on your 2006 Dodge Ram 4WD but regardless of the air bag kit we definitely have what you are looking for in a compressor tank kit.
I recommend going with the Air Command II Xtreme Duty Compressor with Analog Gauge, Air Tank, and 25' Hose # F2549. This is a dual path system which allows you to adjust your air bags individually and comes with a 2-gallon air tank so that you have a ready supply of air when needed. This can be added to your current system so you won't need to get a new Ride-Rite kit.
Attached are the installation instructions for you to check out.
