Question:
I have a 2016 nissan frontier with tow package/electrical hook up. I have a simple black landscape trailer the lights worked on my buddies truck and they wont work on mine. Is there something like a fuze or whatever that I need to activate on my truck. ? I appreciate your guys help

First thing you'd want to do is use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test the pins of your trailer wiring on your Frontier to see if the circuits are active or not. While there check for any corrosion and clean as needed.
Nissan does sometimes have relay issues that prevent trailer wiring from being able to function. For that you'd need the part # C57000 as either a replacement for each of the bad circuits or to install them if they are not present as they aren't always there. The turn signal relay location will be under the hood and the running lights will be behind the dash panel by the driver's left leg. See attached pictures.
