Hi, How much room do you need between the back of the trailer and the bumper for the mounting kit LC432336 to work?

I checked with Lippert and they told me that the Lippert Tailgate Storage System Mounting Kit # LC432336 that you referenced requires 4 inches between the bumper and the back of the trailer.
