Can I open the rear door with the bikes off and the hi/lo on? with the sherpa 2.0

The Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Tilting - Gray # SH22G has a measurement of 7-1/2 inches from the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the carrier when folded and 11 inches when carrying bikes. This will likely give you the clearance needed for your spare tire on your Jeep Wrangler Sahara.

When tilted down, you will be able to open the rear door of your Jeep when there are not bikes loaded. With loaded bikes, the rear door will only be able to open partially. I've attached a video to assist.

Kuat Hi-Lo 2" Hitch Extender - 7" or 10" Extension - 2-1/8" Rise/Drop # HL20B when used in the drop position will definitely give you more clearance. I've attached a video for you that shows you will get to open your door about 1/2 way which in most cases would give you the necessary access. You will need to determine if that is enough for you but the video will give you the visual to help make the decision. This adapter will reduce the tongue weight rating of your hitch by 50% so if you get close to 1/2 your tongue weight rating, you will want to pay attention so you don't overload your hitch because of the additional torque.
