Do you know the outside dimensions of the shank? Just wondering how it fits into the hitch. Thanks,

The shank of the Flash Solid Steel HD Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # FA49-00-5925 will fit directly into 2-1/2 inch hitch receivers; it simply slides into the hitch and you can lock it into your 2-1/2 inch hitch with Hitch Lock and Adjustment Pin Lock Set # FA86-00-4225; this will also keep the hitch ball mount secure to the shank.

There is a Flash ball mount for a 2 inch hitch receiver if that is what your vehicle has, the Flash Solid Steel Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # FA49-00-5900 which can be locked with Hitch Lock and Adjustment Pin Lock Set # FA86-00-4200. Both of these adjustable ball mounts have 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch hitch balls along with a maximum rise of 11 inches and maximum drop of 10 inches.
