What Size Grease Zerk Fitting is on a Trailer with EZ Lube Spindles
Published 01/18/2019 >
Question:
I believe my trailer has EZ lube bearings. Do all lube guns utilize a standard fitting? Ive never lubed bearings...thought I would ask before I buy.

You should have a standard 1/4" grease zerk fitting on your EZ Lube spindles. The 1/4" zerk is a fairly common size so you should be able to easily acquire one. We actually have the Powerbuilt Pistol Grip Grease Gun # ALL940798 which would be perfect for your application.
Please note that you need to use the same type of grease that is currently being used on your spindles. Different types of grease don't mix well and will actually cause damage to the spindle. I have attached a chart that demonstrates what greases are compatible with each other for you to reference. If you don't know what is currently on your trailer then you will either need to contact the previous owner (or dealer) or pull your hubs and clean all of the grease off of everything.
