Question:

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving. I am interested in the following item: Titan Zinc-Plated, Leverlock Coupler - 2 inch Ball - 3 inch Channel - Bolt On - 5,000 lbs # T4845000. Can you please advise as to the height of the coupler? I understand it fits a 3 inch wide channel which will work for my Triton trailer. However, the channel has a bolt for the safety chains. So the height of the new coupler will need to be specifically disclosed to see if it will fit without modification. Additionally, I am looking to replace the current Jack on the trailer. The current one appears to elevate 10 inches and I am looking for more extension in the 14 to 18 inch extension range- preference on the longer. See the attached photograph to show the type of jack I am looking to replace as it is a pull pin foldaway style. I look forward to your response. Thank you.

The Titan Zinc-Plated, Leverlock Coupler # T4845000 measures 4-1/8 inches tall, so it looks like it may be too tall for your set up. If so, the only other 5,000 lb coupler for a 2" hitch ball that may work is one that has half of the height, the Titan Coupler - Painted - Multi-Fit Ball - 3" Channel - Bolt On - 5,000 lbs # T2343400.

In regards to the jack, there isn't a sidewind pull-pin option or other style that has the type of lift you are looking for. Almost all of the boat trailer jacks like yours have a 10 inch extension, and the most that is available is 15-1/2 inches, but it's really for an off-road trailer. You can use it with your boat trailer if you like though it is a premium option, the Extreme Off-Road Ratcheting Trailer Jack w/ Dual Wheels - Sidewind - 15-1/2" Lift - 1,100 lbs # ARK54FR.

Otherwise, the most lift you can get is 12 inches, and that would be with the Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack - Bolt On - Sidewind - 12" Lift - 1,500 lbs # FXP15L.
