Question:
I am getting a 2019 Grand Designs 328m toy hauler. It says it is prewired for a back up camera. I have a ram3500 w factory gooseneck/fifth wheel prep. I am looking at the Rear View Systems 3 camera system w separate monitor in order to see view from all cameras simultaneously dash monitor only allows 1 view as I understand and I use it for maps as well Several questions 1. What are the advantages/disadvantages of this over the Furrion systems? 2. What will it take to hook this in to my toy hauler prewiring? 3. Where does one access the wiring in the cab for the monitor? 4. What are the recommendations for placement of the side cameras? 5. I do NOT want the system always on. Where to connect camera power? 6. I assume prewiring on includes the rear camera. 7. I have heard wireless do not work well w longer units or toy haulers w steel ramp doors. 8. Since 328m is prewired, how long does DIY installation take. I appreciate any thoughts and suggestions

Since you have a 2019 Grand Designs 328M pre-wired for a Furrion system and you are wanting a setup that will give you the ability to view multiple camera views the best and easiest solution is going with a Furrion 5 inch Monitor and Camera kit part # FOS05TASF with the clearance light camera kit part # FCE48TASL as well.
What's great about this setup is that the install is super simple since your vehicle is already setup for the camera at the rear of the vehicle and then the clearance light cameras basically just replace the lights you currently have and you'll have the ability to view either side of your trailer. The larger monitor of the 5" setup also allows you the ability to view all camera angles at once or just a single one. You can also turn them off as needed to. The transmission range of the Furrion setup is really unrivaled too. You won't have any interference issues which we can't guarantee with RVS setups.
