Can Trailer Lights Ground to Frame of Trailer As Well as Ground Wire of Connector

Question:
Can led lights work while Earth wire runs directly from lights to the earth on my vehicle plug or do I have to earth it on my trailer.thanks for your help

You can ground your trailer lights to the frame of the trailer or back to the ground circuit that the trailer wiring connector has. The main ground strap from your wiring connector connects to the frame which basically makes anything that touches the frame grounded.
