The 2018 Cougar 310RLS has a tapered nose with Max Turn Technology so a sliding hitch will likely not be necessary; you still need to be careful and watch the cab before making sharp turns, but this trailer is designed in a manner that you can use a fixed hitch.

For your 2018 Ram 2500 with the factory prep package I strongly recommend the B&W Companion # BWRVK3600 because it is considered by many to be the highest-quality fifth wheel hitch available. If your '18 Ram 2500 does NOT have the factory prep package you will need the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500-5W with Custom Underbed Installation Kit # BWGNRK1384-5W (please keep in mind if you do NOT have the factory prep package the Companion is not compatible with extended pin boxes such as a Sidewinder or Revolution).
