Question:
I purchased the Diamond LT/SUV 2326 tire chains to use with my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. I have LT255 75R17 tires on it, and I noticed that the chains were loose after use, even after tensioning them as tight as I was able, and re-tightening after driving awhile. One the chains rubber hooks, that keeps the tention, and the whole chain on tbe tire, broke during a snow storm, causing the chain to come unfastened and rapping around the axle. Fortunately, I had noticed this on time, so there was no damage to the break lines or anh other components. Do you think adding these tire chain adjusters will help keep these particular tire chain model taught and safe? BTW, Im getting a couple of the rubber hook replacements for the LT/SUV 2326 model, to keep with me, just in case. Thank you for your time and consideration!

I am sorry to hear about the issues you are having with your Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains part # TC2326. I do however have a few ideas for you to correct this issue and the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster part # TCMA3 is one of them. I have spoke to Titan in the past about the tensioner chain becoming loose and they recommend two things.
The first thing they recommend is to add an additional tension like the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster. The next thing they recommend is that you wrap the tensioner chain around part of the yellow side chain before you bring it over and attach it to the other side.
For a replacement rubber fastener you can use the Replacement Rubber Fastener for Titan Chain Diamond Pattern Alloy Tire Chains part # TCRE-1. I would check to make sure the hooks on this piece do not become larger and allow the chain to slip off. If they are use a pair of pliers and try to close them further.
