Can Trailer Use Both Radial Tires and Bias Tires
Updated 11/27/2018 | Published 11/26/2018 >
Question:
What are the dangers of running a Bias tire on the same trailer with 3 radials, or running 1 radial tire with 3 bias tires?

Expert Reply:
You do not want to mix bias and radial tires on your trailer because they are built differently and will even be slightly different sizes, so the odd tire out will wear differently and both the handling and tracking of the trailer could be affected.
It is a very good idea to have the same type, size, and load range of tires to maintain the best performance and wear on your trailer tires.
