Recommended SolidStep for 2018 Forest River Work and Play Toy Hauler

Question:

Hello, we have a 2018 Forrest River Work and Play Toy Hauler. 25 ft. We are trying to figure out what size Solid Step to purchase. Our measurement from the narrowest part of the door is 28 1/2 inches. From the ground to threshold is 25 1/5 inches. The measurements from the label that’s attached to the door is 30 1/4 x 70 1/4 inches. Thank you

Thanks for those measurements. For your 2018 Forest River Toy Hauler I recommend the SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps for 26" to 29-7/8" Wide RV Door Frames - Triple - Aluminum # LC791572. This will fit your door frame well and will work fine with your threshold height. The manufacturer says threshold height from 27 to 36 inches which just means that if you are on perfectly level ground your trailer steps may slightly slant instead of being perfectly level. It won't be enough for any issue. It also will allow for you to add height to your trailer in the future if desired without changing your steps. These are a great option for a sturdy step that is easy to use and store.

There is not a 3 Step SolidStep option with a shorter threshold height. You would instead use the 2 step # LC733931 which is made for thresholds between 22 and 28 inches. I've attached videos to further assist.
