Hello etrailer, My '17 Wrangler Unlimited has the off-road towing-rated bumper. D-rings are 1-inch. What adapter do I use for connecting my Blue Ox tow bar?

To connect your Blue Ox tow bar, such as their Alpha # BX7380, to your Wrangler Unlimited's towing bumper's 1-inch D-rings you will want adapter kit # BX88358. This includes the 7/8-inch pins and retaining clips. You can see how this installs in the linked photo.

I have a Blue Ox tow bar w/braking system and a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with a stock bumper. Is a BX1126 baseplate the only option for towing my Jeep? Just wondering if the Jeep bumper tow hooks could possible be used for towing. Thanks,

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1126 is your only Blue Ox option that fits with your stock bumper. Those front tow hooks simply aren't designed for flat towing. Just looking at photos I'm not sure how any towing device would stay connected to the hooks when slowing down.

I have a aftermarket steel front bumper on my 2021 Gladiator the d-rings are 7/8 thick and the ID is 1 in what is the proper mounting hardware that I need to order

@Rodney Happy to get you the correct hardware. I would double check to make sure that the bumper is rated for flat towing, just because it has the D-Rings does not make it flat towable. What kind of tow bars do you have?

Yes the steel bumper is rated to be flat towed I have not purchased anything yet I just want to make sure when I do it will all fit

@Rodney Ok perfect, thanks so much for getting back to me. Since you do not have a tow bar yet, you will want the Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar # RM-676 to go with the D-ring adapters # RM-035-1. These are designed to work together, and the Nighthawk gives you an 8,000-lb capacity along with non-binding arms, safety cables, and the wiring cord already included.
