Troubleshooting External Sensor Error on Lippert Level Up

Question:

I have a 2014 Keystone Fuzion with 6 hydraulic jacks the keypad is indicating error external sensor. The Jacks or hydraulic legs do not have the motors on top of them, the Jacks are fed by hydraulic lines only. I have clean and check all electrical connections, with no evidence of wire damage. I also disconnected the battery and all power to the unit to see if it would reset , it did not. My manual does not indicate where the sensor is located nor can I find on the internet. When I power it on the error comes up continues to beep without clearing it. The only way I can turn it off is to push enter then immediately power off. I will try to attach a picture of the only visual component.

I spoke with my contact at Lippert and this is what they sent me about the external sensor issue you have:

External sensor error means there is an issue with the rear leveling sensor. This will be located 2-3 foot behind the rearmost axle. There may be an access panel in the underbelly, or there may not. Typically this error is due to a bad connection to the sensor or the sensor itself is bad. I attached a picture of what the sensor looks like in the second picture. The first picture is what you sent in.

Rear sensor error on 16 thor class c outlaw replaced rear sensor any other ideas

Did you check your connection for the rear sensor as well? Not just right where it connects, but the wiring all the way to where it connects?

Thanks yes I did now it says check wire to sensor and light on leveler control pad is out also says jack time out or take in for service varies. Sorry it took so long to reply got virus ended up in Hospital.

@Don No worries about the reply, glad to see that you're on the mend! For the Jack Time Out code you'll want to check to see where each of your jacks are at - are they all retracted/extended how they should be. I've reached out to Lippert in the past about the combination of errors that you're seeing and they recommended taking the setup into a service center but also said that weak ground connections or a bad battery bank can also cause these errors to pop up. I'd get your batteries tested and make sure that your grounds are all solid and clean before taking it in to a service center.
