Question:
I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with the tow package. Reading the directions for installation of the brake monitor says to cut into brake lite switch. I would like to avoid if possible. I have read on the Jeep forum that the tow package should have a grey plug under dash where a brake controller could be connected. Is this something I could use instead of brake lite line?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Since your 2015 Jeep Cherokee has the tow package it does have the brake signal present at the brake controller install port. What you could do to easily access just the stoplight circuit would be to plug in the install harness part # 3014-S to the brake controller port on your vehicle under the hood and then use the red wire for the stoplight circuit and you'd be set.
