If your 2005 Chevy 1500 is 2WD then it can only be dinghy towed using a lube pump which is fairly expensive and when you add labor, makes it not so great an option. However, if you have the 4WD, then it can be towed and we do have all the parts you need to do so.
If you have the 2005 Silverado 1500 with 4WD then I recommend the following for your complete system:
For 1500 HD, the Roadmaster MX Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # 3115-3 or 1500 LD # 199-11.
