Question:

have an older trailer with what i think are either 7200 7500 lb. axles with the mobile home type bolt pattern. how do you measure the hub face on this type hub.

By "mobile home type bolt pattern" I believe you are talking about a 5 spoke utility bolt pattern such as what is on the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 6,000-lb and 7,000-lb Axles # 8-174-5UC3.

To measure your axle from hub face to hub face with this (or any other axle) you will measure from the base of the hub on one wheel stud to the base of the wheel stud on the opposite hub.
