Question:
I have an AL-KO axle which has a 5 lug bolt pattern. The trailer sits too low on my truck with all efforts to increase the distance from trailer to truck. I wanted to ask if the 5 bolt hub or hub and brake assembly can be interchanged with a 6 lug hub or full assembly so I may put a taller tire on the trailer. I got a lot a P/N 1444313 Serial # 42-0-006685-006 and looks to be the Rubber Torsion Axle Assembly. The current lug pattern looks to be a 5 on 5. Thank you.

If you have the clearance for a taller tire and there is a hub/drum that will fit your spindle that has a 6 lug bolt pattern what you are wanting to do is possible. But it really comes down to first determining what spindle dimensions you have so that we can see what hubs will fit it. To do that you can get me either the bearing numbers that are in the hub you have or the dimensions of the spindle like the picture I described.
Since I don't know what tire size you have currently it's hard to say what would be an upgrade for you and how much additional height you could gain. The Provider wheel and tire part # TA57VR does have a 6-lug bolt pattern and an overall diameter of 28.31 inches. Its width is 8.78 inches.
If you have a Dexter Torflex axle we have lift kits available for them. I attached a link to a page that has all of them.
