Question:
I have a 2006 Ford 250 Super Duty short bed,the hitch is a slider for manuvering but it will break the back window if you turn too sharp.I have a standard king pin on a 26 foot Holiday Rambler Alumascape, I need about 6 0r 8 inches more clearance to make a 90 degree turn. Can I do this ? thanks

I believe I have a solution for you. A Sidewinder pin box will give you an additional 22 inches of clearance and should give you plenty of clearance for you to make a 90 degree turn with your 2006 Ford F250 Super Duty and 26 foot Holiday Rambler Alumascape 5th Wheel Hitch. Check out the FAQ article I attached on Sidewinders for you to check out.
In order to pick out the right Sidewinder you will need to know which model pin box is currently on your trailer. Once you have that information you can check out the chart that is at the bottom of the Sidewinder FAQ I attached and you will know which Sidewinder you will need.
You should note that once you have the Sidewinder installed you will never want to have the slider hitch on your vehicle in the maneuver (rearmost position). Not only would there most likely be handling issues, but your tailgate would probably get messed up as well.
