Question:
I purchased a triple flex guard thinking MORE IS BETTER. All of the factory installed single flex guards are broken on a 2015 GD 293RES. So I need two more..... Will the triple guard offer better performance even though the single wire were OEM?

Expert Reply:
The "performance" will remain the same, but the double and triple Flex Guards, parts # LC1346281 and # LC1346291, do have higher weight ratings than the single Flex Guard # LC1346271. So in a way, yes the triple Flex Guard will work better.
If you check out the linked installation details you can see that the weight ratings are as follows:
Short Flex Guard rating:
Single - 2 pounds
Double - 6 pounds
Triple - 12 pounds
Long Flex Guard rating:
Single - 1 pound
Double - 3 pounds
Triple - 6 pounds
The difference between short and long Flex Guards really just depends on which mounting hole is used.
