Can Trailer Tire Size 225/75-15 Fit 6 or 7 inch Wide Trailer Wheel

Question:

Have a car trailer with a15” x7” wheel with 225/75D15 Can not find a 7” wise wheel If I change to 6” wide wheel how much higher will the tire make the trailer rise? I’m restricted the highth were I store the trailer Or would it be recommended to go to a 205 tire instead, want a 10 ply radial tire. Thanks

The diameter of the tire would not change if you went to a narrower wheel by 1 inch. The wheel being narrower does not push the top of the tire up higher. A tire like the # AM10303 would work great. It fits tire widths of 6 inch to 7 inch in width too which means it would work well for you in that regard as well.

I attached a link to a page that has all of the tire and wheels we offer in this size too. You'd need to select the bolt pattnern of your wheels from the filters to pick out a wheel.
