Question:

Hi, I just purchased a used Forest River Flagstaff 2008. The wheel on the pop up jack is removable, and it is pretty weak. the Pop up trailer is pretty hard to move by hand because of that wheel and that it doesn`t fit well into the lever. Is there a way to change it? Would it improve things if I did? Any advice greatly appreciated. I had planned to change it for a swivel jack, but because of the configuration, that doesn`t seem to be a possibility. Thank you

Since the wheel on your jack is removable you can definitely replace it! Just let me know what the diameter of the inner tube of your jack is along with the pin hole diameter and I can make a recommendation. For example, the removable wheel # DL22539 has a weight rating of 1,250 lbs, fits jacks that have an inner tube diameter of 2" and uses a pin that is 1/4" in diameter.

If you would rather just add a swivel jack then that is a viable option as well. Simply make sure you have enough room on your frame and that the jack is rated for enough weight. For example, the Round Swivel Marine Jack # MJ-1206B is rated for 1,000 lbs, is compatible with trailer frame heights from 2" - 4", and has 6-3/4" long x 5-3/4" wide bracket dimensions.
