Question:

My wife has a Trails West Special Lite Aluminum 2 horse trailer live-in. It is too close to the ground and I am constantly repairing the grey and black water combo-valve. I was considering a lift kit and need some assistance. Trails West advises that axles tandom were made by Henderson which is now Dexter. They state that they are rated at 5200 lbs. By observation I found they are of the torsion type. Ive attached a picture of the Trails West sticker for information Thank you for your help. Robert Stevens 916 484-0987

Since you have a 5,200 lb Dexter Torflex tandem axle setup the correct lift kit is the part # K71-724-02. This will give you a 2-7/8 inch lift and would work well.

Can you tell me if this is a torsion axle or standard round tube unit? If it's a torsion axle, is there an actual model type printed on the main tag you took the serial number from?
