Have a new bw companion slider hitch. Way to tight when try to slide. Grinding sound when try to move it back. Are the rollers too tight? Takes a lot of pressIure to make it move.

Expert Reply:
I spoke with my contact at B&W regarding your Companion Slider 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3400. He did say that it sounds like the rollers are just a bit too tight on your hitch. He recommends backing off on the rollers just about 1/4 of a turn and this should help ease the sliding operation. You can also apply some white lithium grease like # L11354 on the rails and he said this will help as well.
