Yakima Mighty Mounts for 2018 Mercedes E-Class Wagon

Question:

Hello, It’s the original Mercedes crossbar for a 2018 E-Class Station Wagon. It was purchased as an accessory for this vehicle. The Mercedes part number for the crossbar is A2138900793. Goal is to mount a Yakima bike rack (lockjaw) to this bar. Thanks,

Thank you for the additional information; I believe you were referencing the 23H Mighty Mounts, and not only will those not give your LockJaw bike rack a better fit, Yakima has not been able to confirm these as a fit for your 2018 Mercedes E-Class Wagon. The Universal MightyMounts # Y03590 will fit the crossbars on your '18 Mercedes as well as work with your LockJaw. From my experience, adapters such as this are a bit more prone to mixed reviews because they are a more economical solution than, for example, buying a whole new bike rack. So people buy them not knowing if they will work for their specific application instead of doing research. You've done that research so you can be confident the MightyMounts are going to work as a solution to carry your LockJaw on your '18 E-Class.
