Question:
I have an older log splitter that Im wanting to raise the working height so its not so hard on by back. Currently it has a 4.80-8 tire on a 4 on 4 wheel with lug nuts holding it on the hub picture attached. I would like to see what my options for a taller wheel tire combination would be so that I can increase the height without having to do any fabrication work to the splitter itself. Thanks

The largest tire and wheel combination you can get with a 4 on 4" bolt pattern is going to have a 13" rim and 175/80-13 tire. This will give you a tire and wheel that is a total of 24" in diameter and 6.6" wide, which will be 7.9" larger in diameter and 2" wider than your current set up.
Depending on the capacity you need, your options for this are the Loadstar # AM3S040, which has a 1,100 lb capacity at at 35 psi or the Loadstar # AM3S130 which has a 1,360 lb capacity at 50 psi.
