Question:

I need to get a 2002 Jeep Liberty ready to be flat towed. Can you make sure the parts I have ed are compatible with each other and is there anything I am missing/recommended? I will be towing with a 2018 FR3 30DS. I am most concerned with ease of installation than a permanent install. For your 2002 Jeep Liberty, I took a look at your parts list and you have done a great job. The Blue Ox baseplates # BX1119 and Alpha Tow Bar # BX7380 will both work well. That tow bar comes with the safety cables needed so you will have that covered as well.

TheRoadmaster Magnetic Tow Lights # RM-2120 will work well and the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System - Proportional # BLU37TR will also give you the wireless control and easy of use. This braking system is a great option as long as your vehicle is equipped with an active power assist braking system.

You will also need a high-low adapter and I've attached the link as well as an article to help you with choosing the correct adapter for your combination.

Note: If you have the 4WD version 2002 Jeep Liberty it can be towed without a lube pump kit, but if it is the RWD automatic it requires a lube pump kit like LP-BK01-022 which we don't carry. If you have the RWD 5 speed manual transmission it must be towed using a trailer.
