Question:

Will the Swagman Patrol 2 Bike Rack for Truck Beds - Fork Mount fit this truck? I think the internal width is 50inch and this says it goes down to 48inch but I wanted to double check, also in case there were any other reason it was not a good fit. Thanks

The Swagman Patrol 2 Bike Rack # S64701 has an adjustable length from 49 inches to 64 inches so it will fit a 50 inch width. You would not be able to open the Ram Boxes if using this type of truck bed bike rack. And if you made it too tight it could damage the hinges on the Ram Boxes so if you choose this type of rack be very careful.

Another option that you might want to consider is a tailgate pad such as the GateMate Pro # TH823PRO. These types of carriers actually work quite well and protect the tailgate. They can also be used for hauling other long items without having to lower the tailgate. A solid option for sure.
