Question:
Hi, Jameson. I need help with getting the proper equipment to set up a 2025 GMC canyon for flat tow behind a motorhome. Well I'll be towing behind a school bus but same thing. I need everything wiring on GMC truck side, the tow bar ( I like the blue ox avail because I've seen it mentioned it was longer) my situation would need longer tow bar I think. I need a patriot or brake buddy I would love to have electrical harness that's easy wire plug in your if possible as I hate the idea of cutting a new vehicle working harness. Ok you know more than I do please help. Thanks in advance.

Hey Steven, yeah the Blue Ox Avail part # BX7420 is a really solid tow bar and would work great for you. The correct base plate kit for a 2025 GMC Canyon would be the Blue Ox part # BLU85CR.
For braking the Blue Ox Patriot part # BLU37TR is a really great option as well.
For wiring I wish there was an easier solution but only option currently is a diode kit like the Roadmaster part # RM-15267 which does require some splicing into the vehicle wiring but it's still best option as there isn't a plug and play option for your vehicle at this time. You will also need the battery disconnect part # RM-766 as well.

Hi Jameson, I'm looking at a curt #52108 plug and play 4 way connector on the Internet and in auto stores that says it fits my 2025 GMC canyon and includes the block diodes with t plug connectors to connect my RV to my toad vehicle to operate it's tail, brake, turn lights without splicing any wires which of course I would ENJOY but here at e trailer it says this plug does not fit my vehicle in wondering why ? Of course I don't want to use something that's wrong but of course simplicity is nice. Thanks in advance. Curt #52108

Jameson thank you for putting all that together for me it'd taken me a lot longer I'm sure professionalism always speeds things up. I'll have to brush up on my wiring skills I guess.
