2018 Ford F-250 Trailer Camera System Compatibility with 2017 Forest River Flagstaff Camping Trailer

Question:

I just purchased a new 2018 F-250 which has the camera system and wire for a trailer camera, I have a 2017 flagstaff camper that also is supposed to be wire for rear mounted camera , what product do you offer that will match up to current F-250

The new 12 pin connector for your trailer camera connection currently only works with their trailer camera. I'm sure you can splice into the camera power wire and signal wire on your 2017 Forest River Flagstaff Camper but we have not yet had the opportunity to test how to do that.

The current system on your camper has a camera power wire that connects to your reverse light power off the 7-way and utilizes the Furrion Digital Wireless Backup Camera w/ Color LCD Monitor and Mounting Bracket - 4.3" Screen FOS48TAPK-BL which is a wireless transmitter and monitor system. If you want the system to be usable when not backing up, you will need to rewire the power wire of the camera on your trailer to connect to the running lights/clearance lights so you can have power to the camera at all times. Furrion has recentely discontinued that model replacing it with a newer model with better resolution and motion detection features # FOS43TASF.

At this time to have your Ford camera system, you will need to use their entire system including the camera.
