Question:

I installed the BX88285 to my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It included a diode box where the Green, Yellow, and Brown wires go to the front of the jeep for connecting to my Motorhome. When I installed the Roadmaster 8700 Invisibrake their wiring diagram states I need to install four more diodes. To meet their diagram I would have to install the diodes between my tail/brake lights and the BX88285 diode. My questions are, Isnt the diode box on the BX 88285 enough? If not how and where would I have to install the four diodes without having to split wires in two like to get the Brown taillight to both the left and right rear lights by connecting two wires off the main brown wire?

While we do not have the Blue Ox EZ Light Wiring Harness that you mentioned installing on your Jeep, I was able to locate the installation instructions for the kit. It looks like the converter box that you mentioned is designed to protect the wiring on the harness, but it will be separate from the Roadmaster InvisiBrake # RM-8700 Wiring. Because of this, the diode's that the InvisiBrake instructions call for will still be required to further protect the Jeep's wiring and the InvisiBrake system.

These diodes will need to be connected to the OEM/factory wiring coming from the tail lights on your Jeep, before the Blue Ox T-connectors. They will not be installed on the wiring from the Blue Ox Harness.

I have attached the complete written instructions for the InvisiBrake and an installation video on your Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that you can use for reference.

Please note that you will also need to add the # RM-88400. This is needed to prevent the Jeep's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn.
