Question:
I have a mid 90’s Carson enclosed utility trailer with a ramp door. The spring assy broke and I need a new one. Trailer is 12’ x 7’ tandem axle. The current assy looks like Enclosed Trailer Ramp Spring - Single, 66inch Wide. Will this unit work?

To select a replacement torsion spring for your enclosed trailer's rear ramp door you will want to match up the spring dimensions and also confirm the weight of the ramp door.
There is no way to look up the original part but contacting Carson with the trailer VIN might be enough for them to tell you something that will help you select the correct new spring.
The item you mentioned, part # 362SA6, has a weight capacity of 120-lbs and overall it is 67-inches. Width can be adjusted from 38-3/8" to 68-1/2" and brackets will adjust depending on the need.
The installation instructions for this product are recommended for individuals who have experience winding torsion springs. If you have not worked with a torsion spring system before, we recommend contacting a local garage door company to install this system.
