Ramp Door Spring Recommendation for a 2009 Carson 6x10 Enclosed Trailer
Updated 05/09/2018 | Published 05/08/2018 >
Question:
Hello, I recently purchased a 2009 6x10 Carson enclosed trailer for my dirt bike. Unfortunately the previous owner broke the ramp door spring mechanism and it needs to be replaced. Can you please help me identify the correct door mechanism? Also, are these difficult to reinstall? Happy to provide additional info if needed. Hopefully the pictures help!

Trailer ramp door springs are generally chosen based on the inside width of the trailer where it will be installed. Also, ramp door springs such as # 362SA6 can be trimmed down some if the length is too much for the trailer. This is the shortest version we have in this style. It can be trimmed down to 38-3/8" inches if needed.
We strongly recommend to have a garage door company install these types of springs because if not done properly it can be very dangerous since the springs are under tension. Unless you have experience installing these types of springs I definitely recommend having a professional perform the installation.
