I got these with my hullavator. How do I use them? It is on a 2018 Volvo T6 xc60.

Those are bow and stern tie-down straps. They are necessary for tying your kayak down so it doesn't fly off your vehicle's roof. Tie-down straps like these are required in order to transport a kayak and come with many Thule products, including the Hullavator # TH898.
