Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System for 6,000 lb Travel Trailer

Question:

Hi, I have a 2011 F-250 CC diesel 4x4. I might purchase a 5,000-6,000# travel trailer. I was looking at a Blue Ox SwayPro weight distribution hitch, but I dont know which one to get or which spring bars I should use. Can you help?!

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.

For a 6,000 lb travel trailer you'd be looking at a tongue weight range of between 600 and 900 lbs so the Blue Ox Kit part # BXW1000 would be the kit you'd want.
