Curt Triflex Brake Controller Troubleshooting Flashing 9.9 All the Time
Updated 05/10/2018 | Published 05/09/2018 >
Question:
Hi I had my system professionally installed and it worked good for a while. I dont know how it happened but I have now a constant flashing of 9.9 on the display with no brake action at all. This stays flashing all the time even when my Yukon is shutting off. I tried disconnecting the battery and after reconnection it still flashes 9.9 Any thoughts???

The flashing output of a Curt Triflex normally indicates that the brake pedal is pressed but a trailer isn't connected. Since yours is flasing all the time that would indicate that you most likely have a short between the 12 volt power wire for the brake controller and the stoplight switch circuit which is confusing the controller into thinking that the brakes are applied all the time.
The solution will be to go over the wiring of the brake controller to find the short and fix as needed.
