Question:
Think I can install the hitch myself - and you all seem to have the best prices and a lower weight hitch as you mentioned in one of your threads. Posted April 25 @ 1:30PST - Hailing from Seattle, today its 77 degrees - adventuring weather!! Thanks

For your 2011 Honda Fit Sport, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class I # C11064. It is a custom fit for your vehicle and will give you a 1-1/4 inch hitch receiver opening for a ball mount or other accessory. I've attached a video of this installation to help so you can determine if this is an installation you feel comfortable with. This is an easy installation for most people.
If you will be using this trailer hitch receiver for an accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier, you will want to pay attention to the ratings on that product and its ability to utilize that particular accessory with a Class I hitch. I've attached some links to assist. You will also need to support your accessory with the stabilizer strap # 18050.
If you will be using a lighted accessory or using the hitch for towing, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118420 which installs to the factory wiring behind the taillights and will give you a 4-way flat trailer connection. This does not include any need for splicing as it attaches via quick connect.
For a ball mount, you can use the Draw-Tite Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitch # 3593 along with a hitch ball like # 19258 for a 2 inch diameter hitch ball or # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch diameter hitch ball. You will want to look at your owners manual to determine the towing ability of your vehicle.
