Question:
will the curt x5 5th wheel base rails adapter c16220 fit on a 2017 nissan xd
asked by: John E
Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt X5 5th-Wheel Base Rail Adapter Plate for EZr Double Lock Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # C16220 will not work on your 2017 Nissan Titan XD. Currently the only adapter compatible with your truck is the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter # DM6200. This will allow you to use any standard sliding hitch for short bed, or fixed hitch for the 8 foot bed. Your capacity will be 21K maximum when using this rail adapter based on the adapter but the truck capacity will further limit that to 17.7K.
Your other option is to use a hitch designed specifically for your factory system like the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Nissan Titan XD Towing Prep Package # C16540-16026 for 8 foot bed.
You also may be interested in wiring harness # C56000 to give you a second working 7-way in the bed of your truck for easy connection and a clean look.
