Question:
Thank you for answering my question regarding hole distance on the Equilzer shank EQ90-02-4500. But - 14” seams excessive for my application. Is there a Pro Series compatable shank 5.5” that has a10”-12” from center of hitch pin hole to center of head mounting holes ? The facory shank measures 8” center to center. 10-12” would allow me to open my tailgate. 9” would be scary close, but might work.

The Pro Series Shank -11" # 63911 has a measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the adjustable head holes of 7-3/4". This is the only shank available for a 2 inch receiver from this manufacturer. The adjustment holes on the weight distribution shanks are always 1-1/4 inches on center so they are compatible between manufacturers.
Based on the information you gave, I recommend either the Curt # C17122 which has a measurement of 14 inches from hitch pin to adjustment holes or the Curt # 17120 with a 10 inch measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the adjustment holes.
