Can the Bracket Tubes be Mounted to the Outside for the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch # 13703

Question:
Have purchased a 13703 hitch to go my 5th wheel. My question does the bracket tubes have to face inside? The unit I have will require them to be pointing out to the side of trailer.

The instructions for the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13703 actually state in step 1 that the bracket tube mount can be positioned towards the front or rear to gain clearance or adjustability. This means that you can mount the bracket tubes so that they face to the inside or outside.
