This adjustable trailer hitch is designed specifically for RVs and trailers like what you have and will fit frame widths of 22 to 71 inches. It can be bolted to the frame or welded on for a no-drill application. It will provide you with a 2 inch receiver opening and it has a 350 pound tongue weight capacity.

Since the combined weight of any cargo carrier and your 300 pound generator will be pushing the limits of this hitch and likely your Jayco, another option I recommend looking at is the Stromberg Carlson Trailer Tray Cargo Carrier # CC-255.
