I contacted Yakima about the LongArm Truck Bed Load Extender, Item # Y01149, and the crossbar has a 2 inch diameter and is 60 inches long. The LongArm also works with 2 inch x 2 inch hitches, has a weight capacity of 300-lbs, is adjustable, and has an easy installation.
If you want additional protection for your gear from scrapes and scratches, I recommend the Crossbar Pad, Item # Y07417.
