Are the left and right loops strong enough to attach recovery or tow straps to pull the jeep if stuck in sand?

The loops that are attached to the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 31408 can be used for vehicle recovery according to my contact at Curt. However, if you will be pulling anything toward the 9,000 lb line pull capacity of the hitch then I recommend using a tow strap mount that attaches to the receiver tube opening like part # TR63046.
