Question:
I have a cargo trailer with a 14x14 roof vent, continuous hinge. I have replaced it more than once due to UV fatique/breakage. Which material is the most durable for UV resistance, etc for a quality replacement cover?

Helpful Expert Reply:
There are three types of materials used in the construction of most roof vent covers which are metal, polypropylene, and polycarbonate. The metal option will be the most UV resistant followed by polycarbonate and polypropylene in that order.
For a metal replacement roof vent cover that has a continuous hinge and 14-1/4"x14-1/4" opening, I recommend part # BV0534-00. For a polycarbonate replacement roof vent cover that has a continuous hinge and 14-1/4"x14-1/4" opening, I recommend part # CAM40161 and part # CAM40155 for a polypropylene replacement roof vent cover that has a continuous hinge and 14-1/4"x14-1/4" opening.
I have attached a review video on each roof vent cover for you as well.
