Load Range D Trailer Tires in Size 205/75-14

Updated 03/06/2018 | Published 03/04/2018

Question:

I have a travel trailer toy hauler with a max capacity of 7,700 lbs that came with 205/75R14” C load rated tires. I’d like to upgrade to load rated D tires, but not sure if I can keep my stock rims and just upgrade the valve stems to higher psi ones. I’m not planning on carrying any more weight, I just like the piece of mind of having tires that are stronger. If I can save money by not having to buy new rims, that would be a plus.

Your rim would be fine. The PSI limit is going to be most likely the valve stem which you are planning on replacing.

In that size and Load Range we have the part # AM10235 which is a Load Range D with a capacity of 2,040 lbs at 65 psi. 65 psi will not be a problem at all for your current rim.
